Who can join?+
Adults 18 and over. People with osteoarthritis, endometriosis, or IBD. Healthy adults too.
Do I need a diagnosis?+
No. Symptoms are enough. Healthy people are welcome.
Do I need my own doctor to refer me?+
No. We handle the paperwork.
Where can I join from?+
You can join the waitlist from anywhere. We will reach out when we open near you.
What happens after I join the waitlist?+
You get a confirmation email. When there is a spot for you, we invite you to set up your account. Then you book your first blood draw at home.
Is this research?+
Yes. Ori is a research program. You will see a full consent form before you start.
What you do
How long do I take part?+
12 months to start. You can renew each year. The longer you stay, the more we learn.
What happens each year?+
One blood draw at your home. Then a finger prick kit every 3 months. Each time, you answer a short survey about how you feel.
Why connect my medical records?+
Your records show your diagnoses and treatments. Paired with your blood, they help us see what is really going on. You choose what to share.
Who comes to my home?+
A mobile phlebotomist. That is a trained specialist who draws blood. You choose the time.
How much time does it take?+
About 15 to 30 minutes for the home blood draw. A few minutes for each finger prick and survey. You never visit a lab.
Does it hurt?+
The blood draw feels like any routine blood test. The finger prick is a quick pinch.
Do I have to change my treatment?+
No. Keep seeing your doctors and taking your normal care.
Pay
How much do I get paid?+
$250 for your first blood draw. $150 for each finger prick. $500 for each yearly blood draw after your first.
How do I get paid?+
By direct deposit to your bank. You connect your bank once in your Ori account. We pay you after we receive each sample.
Does it cost me anything?+
No. Home visits, kits, shipping, and lab testing are covered. Nothing is billed to your insurance.
Do I pay taxes on it?+
Payments may count as taxable income. If a tax form is required, we send you one.
Your data
What do I get back?+
A chart of your immune markers over time, in your Ori account. You are your own baseline.
Can my doctor see my results?+
Yes, if you say so. You choose who sees your readouts.
Who sees my data?+
The Ori team. We remove your name. Then we share data with researchers and companies building new treatments.
Is my data safe?+
Yes. It is encrypted and stored securely. Your name is never shared.
What happens to my samples?+
A lab tests them. Leftover samples are stored for future research only if you say yes.
Can I stop?+
Yes, anytime, for any reason. We stop collecting your data. Data already shared without your name cannot be pulled back.
